چکیده
Vascular senescence is a key component in the initiation of atherosclerosis and its related cardiovascular disorders. C-X-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 12 (CXCL12), CXC chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) ligand known to promote atherosclerosis. However, role telomeres CXCL12-mediated senescence-induced remains obscure. This study aimed unravel CXCL12 association with context menopause-induced arterial Apoe–/– mice underwent bilateral ovariectomy (OVX) simulate early late postmenopausal (EPM) conditions (1 5 weeks post-OVX, respectively). POL5551, selective CXCR4 antagonist, was administered as continuous infusion (30 mg/kg/day PBS) using subcutaneously implanted osmotic minipump for two weeks. ATP binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1), cholesterol efflux regulator significantly downmodulated (p < 0.05), while NOD-, LRR- pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLR) family domain containing (NLRP3), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) inflammatory mediators were considerably enhanced 0.05) both EPM LPM groups. Notably, more prominent than mice. POL5551 treatment effectively ameliorated reduced ABCA1 expression increased response. Hence, we propose that inhibition proffers robust anti-senescent anti-atherosclerotic effects.

This mechanism resembles inflammatory reactions to exogenous factors and the wound healing process (2). Dysfunction of vascular endothelial cells is thought to induce a cascade of pathologic reactions of cell groups mediated by the expression of adhesion molecules, resulting in infiltration of mononuclear cells, foam cell formation, promotion of thrombus formation, and disturbed relaxation of b...

introduction: the telomeric dna together with its associated proteins protects the chromosome ends from degradation or aberrant recombination. telomerase and telomere are closely associated with development of cancers. in this study we aim to investigate the significance of telomerase activity (ta) and telomere length (tl) in patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia (apl). methods: peripher...
متن کاملTelomere structure and shortening in telomerase-deficient Trypanosoma brucei
Telomerase consists of a reverse transcriptase (TERT) and an RNA that contains a template for telomere-repeat extension. Telomerase is required to prevent telomere erosion and its activity or lack thereof is important for tumorigenesis and ageing. Telomerase has been identified in numerous organisms but it has not been studied in kinetoplastid protozoa. Trypanosoma brucei, the causative agent o...

Measurements on the average telomere lengths of normal human naive and memory T cells suggested that 1) naive and memory human T cells have similar division rates, and 2) that the difference between naive and memory cells reflects the degree of clonal expansion during normal immune reactions. Here we develop mathematic models describing how the population average of telomere length depends on t...
